House of Plants — website and application design.

The requirement

The existing website needed regular product updates, but had no content management system. The business already used RomanCart for checkout and sales, so replacing everything was not the starting point.

The approach

A purpose-built PHP content management system gave staff control over products and page content without replacing the existing RomanCart checkout. Sales data feeds connected the commerce platform to custom reporting, while a mobile-optimised website supported browsing across devices.

What was implemented

  • Product and page content management
  • Integration with the RomanCart shopping cart and checkout
  • Sales data feeds and custom reporting
  • A mobile-optimised version of the website

The challenge

Content editing and order management lived in different systems. The solution retained the existing checkout while providing a separate, purpose-built editing and reporting workflow.

What was delivered

A tailored publishing and reporting system combining product management, page editing, RomanCart integration and sales data feeds, supported by a mobile-optimised storefront.

A useful takeaway

Integration can be a more appropriate starting point than replacement. Understanding the tools already in use helps define what actually needs to change.
